Masa-UK Art Gallery has been a cultural hub for over ten years. Many emerging local and international artists have found us as an important platform for their artistic journey. We have represented our artists at many international art fairs and in the UK and aborad.
As a family run Gallery, our main mission is through our model of communication and gallery setting, the artists, customers and art lovers are becoming a part of our extended family.
We have carefully curated art that captures the moment of life, leaves stamp in history, evokes feelings and tells a story, hoping it will make easier for you to choose your own original from the preselected wide range by the diverse and highly regarded artists.

David Coutler
Dave Coulter is a British artist who specialises in cityscapes. As part of the Northern Art movement, his particular focus is on painting the streets of Manchester and Salford. In his paintings, he captures the dynamic movement of the multifaceted cities that have been the inspiration for many painters before him. Dave Coulter is, in essence, as much a part of the North as the scenes he paints.

Now in his early 70s, Dave Coulter has lived through a huge period of change in the area he calls home. He has seen it all - from the gloom of the mills and factories to the Salford slum clearances of the 1960s and now the development of a vibrant, successful region, full of commerce and bright lights.
​
What makes Dave’s work unique is the way he brings the years and the changes together. In this way, to look at one of his paintings is to see Manchester and Salford past and present, the buildings changing but the people a constant factor.

Alleyne Parry
Alleyne has always worked in advertising as a creative and lives in the Peak District National Park, but in recent years, he has turned to his beloved paints for more inspiration. His parents live by the sea on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, and he has been going there since childhood.
He has always been passionate about the quality of light on Skye and is in awe of the changing weather patterns and the contrast in light that this brings; this is where he enjoys the challenge of representing these areas of magnificent beauty.
Alleyne uses acrylic paints and oils with palette knives to give a textural impression of seascapes and landscapes.

Mel Hood
Mel Hood is an English artist based in Cheshire, England. Born in the South raised in the North.

Through his life experience and travels, art has been a constant companion following him on his journeys, whether that’s Cumbria to Colorado or Hong Kong to High Peak. His pieces are influenced by his connection to the landscape whether that’s the open spaces of the deep mountain valleys or the fast paced metropolitan cities, his environment has always been at the core of his artwork.

Instinctively he is drawn to the natural image of his surroundings and questions its composition through different mediums, colours and texture whilst always exploring light and movement. He primarily gravitates to paint and mixed media where these mediums allow him to experiment with all forms of expression and establish a narrative and a new perspective. His work adorns the walls of art collectors in both corporate offices and residential homes in the UK, France, Spain, USA, Australia and the the far East.

Doru Ivan
My artwork represents an introspection of the human nature and of what can results as an exploration of the human universe (expressionists and ludicrous forms). The evolution of my works reveals as a portraiture of the individual’s destiny which was not explored enough as an interior of the conception of the existence. More than that, I wilfully exaggerate certain aspects of the human existence expressing through form gesture, symbol, what a person could experience over a life time: moments of bliss, moments of panic and uncertainty, reflexion and mystic states.
I work primarily in a realistic, figurative mode, with a preference for the rigorousity of an austere palette of black and white. My work frequently includes dynamic, sweeping brush strokes of watercolour, acrylic or black ink on paper that characterise much of my art. The subjects are not beautiful but my goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more carefully at the world around them, to discover beauty in unusual situations.

Mike Waldron

Mike Waldron is an expressionist artist and mark-maker based in Bollington. Conveniently between the urban buzz of Manchester, the city in which he was born, and the wilds of the Peak District, which provide the inspirations behind his work.
His practice is rooted in storytelling, with many of his works, including those veering towards the abstract, weaving a narrative, or hinting at some hidden drama. He is fascinated by the relationship between people, the landscape and the ever-changing urban environment. Having trained at Liverpool Poly in the 80s, he now works as a professional artist, seduced by colour; and ranging across a diversity of media, techniques, platforms and subjects, he steadfastly refuses to accept the artificial distinctions between abstract and concrete.
Mike’s work is held in collections internationally. He has exhibited recently with Blue and Berry Gallery, The Gallery Next Door, inch Arts Gallery, Smith Gallery Brighouse, The Neighbourhood Gallery. He was recently awarded First Prize in the Inch Arts Winter Open Exhibition, for his piece. « Rise Like Lions After Slumber »

Catherine Short
Since dabbling in art at the beginning of lockdown, I've become thoroughly addicted to my creative journey. I utilise every spare moment in my quest to experiment and learn new techniques.
Catherine Short is a landscape and pet portrait artist, living in Timperley. She works mainly in watercolour, and pen and ink and loves experimenting with acrylic and oils. Catherine is becoming an accomplished pet portrait artist, working in pencil crayons and soft pastels. Catherine's life long fear of dogs reduces with every completed canine portrait. Catherine has discovered the joy of healing through creating art.

Jane Fraser
Jane is an artist, based in Altrincham. I work in various media - mainly oils, but also acrylics, pastel and mixed media.
My main inspiration is the landscape, both urban and rural. I love to observe, interpret and record my surroundings. My subjects could be anything from the familiar farmland of my daily dog walks, to the wild grandeur of the Peaks and Lakes, and the spectacular cityscapes and hidden alleyways of Manchester and other northern towns.
I’m an enthusiastic member of Manchester Urban Sketchers, and like nothing better than exploring the quirky and forgotten corners of our cities. Most of my paintings start life as an outdoor sketch, and what really inspires me is the fleeting effect of colour and light. Thoughtful observation reveals beauty and interest in even the most mundane objects, like a refuse bin or a peeling poster. History, too, is a source of fascination, and I always like to find out as much as I can about where I’m sketching and the changes it’s been through.
​My paintings can be seen at MASA-UK, on EASEL (the online presence of Manchester Art Fair), and in galleries in Altrincham and Ashbourne. I also take part in open competitions and outdoor painting events throughout the North West.

Sabina Nealon
Sabina Nealon, Manchester based artist, originally from Baku Azerbaijan, a beautiful city on the Caspian Sea. I come from very creative family with father as a violin player and mum concert pianist. It was only natural for me to take interest in art.
All my life I have been living between these 2 fields: art/music and sustainability. I studied art at home, regularly visiting art galleries at every opportunity. The last few years I have been pouring more energy into my art. I am mainly an abstract artist with real feel for nature, landscape, cityscape.
I love colours & light. But I have no boundaries of a single style or genre. I love using combination of a palette knife, experimenting with different colour tones. Inspiration mainly comes from area of sustainability and nature that I enjoy, with seascapes, modern landscapes, new journeys in art. Oil is her favourite medium.

Mary Atherton
Mary is a landscape artist based in South Manchester.
“I paint in response to my feelings about my surroundings. Wales in particular is a constant source of inspiration especially along the coast, the valleys and mountains.”
She works mainly in acrylics but loves to experiment with different media and explore all the possibilities. This often triggers her imagination and often leads her towards abstraction.
Mary has exhibited in many open art exhibitions including Castle Park, Buxton Spa Prize, Green Man in Buxton, Stockport, Technically Brilliant in Warrington, Inch Arts in Altrincham, Harbour Gallery in Conwy Wales. She has also exhibited at Stockport Art Guild, Goose Green Art Gallery Altrincham, the Parsonage in Didsbury and currently exhibit with Altrincham Society of Artists and Easel online gallery for Manchester Art Fair.

Lorna Bent
A Art and Design college graduate, Lorna has had an interest in art since early age. Her passions for life drawing has given her the platform to develop her loose painting skills and style.
Lorna’s noire style embraces life paintings, landscapes and large murals and cites photographer Helmut Newton, as a source of inspiration. Her artworks are mainly in acrylic, which she uses through variety of techniques such as: Splattering, Dry Brush and Detailing to create her unique style.
Her art has been exhibited in galleries across UK including Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool.

Tricia Harrison
Tricia spent her early years in South Africa watching her mother doing pastel portraits of interesting local characters. She decided at the age of five that she would become an artist. After returning to the UK Tricia gained a degree in textile & fashion design at Manchester University.
She is also known for her versatility and has gained a wealth of experience working on greetings cards, ceramics, house hold and fashion textiles. All her work is handcrafted in watercolour, pencil, pastel, pen & ink and includes cut paper creations too.
Her clients include most of the top brands and outlets including Noel Tatt, Museums & Galleries, Mint, Hallmark, UK Greetings, Marks & Spencer, Boots and WHSmith.
In the last few years, she has taken on a number of private painting commissions and this has forged her interest in working as a fine artist using a variety of mediums such as oils, pastels and watercolour.

Shazia Naqib
Shazia is an emerging-born artist, who believes in the expression through art.

A psychiatry doctor, Shazia has always had a passion for art and photography. In 2022 she has obtained the highest qualification in Graphic Design course in a Blue Sky Graphics in London.

She uses uplifting, energetic bold colours in her work. She is passionate about anything art whether it is good music or visual. She has unleashed her powerful inner emotions and feelings in her paintings, through her lifetime experience of 50 years.
